RE: The Manolo Blahnik on the Other Foot: A Shoe Shopaholic’s New Year’s Resolution

I just came across your blog and read the article about your resolution to try seeing things from another person's point of view.   I have been doing that for quite a while now and I can tell you, it's extremely enlightening. When I was younger (I'm in my 50's now), I was very opinionated and thought I understood people, etc.  But, after all the ups and downs I've had and being diagnosed with an incurable illness, my perspective sure has changed.  I realize now that we are usually way off the mark when we assume things about people before we fully understand why they're in a particular situation or why they feel a certain way about things.

So, I'm glad you've resolved to walk in other people's shoes. I think if more of us were doing that, we wouldn't be so quick to judge them. Thanks for your blog.  I'll be coming back to it often.
